About Our Data
Data Source
All clinical trial data on this site comes from ClinicalTrials.gov, a database run by the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Federal law — specifically the FDA Amendments Act of 2007 (FDAAA 801) — requires sponsors and investigators to register applicable clinical trials and submit results to ClinicalTrials.gov. The data is public domain and carries no commercial restrictions on reuse.
What We Show
We organize trial data into several page types to make it easier to find studies relevant to you:
- Condition pages — Browse recruiting clinical trials grouped by medical condition, such as diabetes or lung cancer.
- City pages — Find trials recruiting near you. We show studies with at least one site within 50 miles of a given city.
- Trial detail pages — View the full eligibility criteria, study locations, and contact information for a single trial.
- Original source links — Every trial page links directly back to the original listing on ClinicalTrials.gov so you can verify the data at the source.
How We Update
Our data is synced from the ClinicalTrials.gov API. Because trial status can change at any time — a recruiting study may close enrollment, new sites may open, or eligibility criteria may be updated — the information shown here may not reflect the very latest state of a trial. Always check ClinicalTrials.gov directly for the most current details.
Limitations
- Recruiting trials only. We display trials with a status of "Recruiting" or "Not yet recruiting." Completed, withdrawn, and terminated trials are not shown.
- Eligibility criteria are shown as-is. The inclusion and exclusion criteria come directly from the trial listing and may use clinical terminology that is difficult to interpret without medical training.
- Distance is approximate. Distances are calculated from city center coordinates and may not reflect the exact driving distance to a trial site.
- Availability can change at any time. A trial that appears as recruiting may have recently closed enrollment or filled its capacity. Always verify availability directly with the study contact.
- Not all trials are listed. While FDAAA 801 requires registration of many trials, some studies — particularly early-phase and non-U.S. trials — may not appear on ClinicalTrials.gov.
